Wasabi, a family restaurant chain in the Des Moines area, focuses on recreating the taste of New York City sushi. It uses Tamanishiki rice, a Japanese favorite rarely found outside of that country.
“We just moved to DSM from Germany and man, what a treat," Dino Dlh wrote on Facebook. "Nice portions, fair price, very friendly. This Army family will be back for sure.”
“So pleased that this local favorite continues to excel," Gail Nielsen wrote in a Google Review.
"Competent staff, delicious food at a decent price. Love the avocado salad and bought a pint (of) their ginger dressing. Sushi was just right and teriyaki chicken was ample and delicious."
